Online registration for Tree House alumni begins on January 10th. New families to Tree House are welcome to complete online registration starting on January 17th.
Come and visit us in our preschool classrooms! We are hosting Open House dates at the NMR and ESC preschool sites on January 10th from 5-7 PM, January 12th from 1-3 PM and January 15th from 5-7 PM. Future Open House dates will be announced after that time. We look forward to meeting you
Children can start attending as of their third birthday. If your child is not three by the September class start date, you can still register and your child can start attending after their third birthday. In cases where the class fills, you will need to pay full monthly fees to “hold” their spot until they are old enough to attend. If the class is not full, you are not required to pay fees until the month they first attend at which time full monthly fees are due (no partial months payments are allowed).
Bathroom routines are a learning curve too! We will support your child towards independence in the bathroom however students may not attend class in pull-ups or diapers. If little ones have infrequent accidents we will help them through and request that all children have a full change of clothes, including socks & underwear in a ziploc bag in their backpack at all times. If your child is not fully potty trained, please let us know as being “ready” to use the bathroom independently is not a matter of success or failure, just timing. Your child is welcome to join us in class when the timing is right.
Yes, we are an inclusive program and supported and PUF students are welcome. Tree House has worked with many community agencies over the years to support student needs (FSCD, GRIT, Community Options, Edmonton Autism Society). If your child has supports in place, please contact us to discuss what your family-directed funding and services allow. If your child does not have supports currently in place and depending on child and family needs, we will work with you to support you & your child to find the best fit for their early learning years.
No, families do not need to plan to attend the larger community school site to register. We accept registration from families from St. Albert, Edmonton and all surrounding communities. We are a licensed community preschool program located within the larger district school and as such, there is no faith programming included in our program or curriculum.
Yes! Tree House preschool classes qualify for preschool/childcare subsidy of up to $125/month. Eligibility requirements for subsidy have been expanded in recent years and we encourage all families to review their eligibility prior to registration here. Childcare subsidy rates can only be accessed in one program at a time so if your family is accessing subsidy for daycare or dayhome, additional preschool subsidy rates are not permitted. If eligible for subsidy, please apply directly with the AB government 30 days prior to your child’s start date. When choosing Tree House Playschool as your childcare subsidy program, please ensure you direct your subsidy to the right site based on school address.
All payments and refunds are sent by etransfer. Registration and program fee of $300 is sent to registertreehouse@gmail.com and monthly fees are sent to paymenttreehouse@gmail.com. Monthly fees are due by the first of the month with the exception of September which is due by the 15th. Families are welcome to pay on a monthly, biannual, or annual basis. Please note your child’s name in your etransfer messsage. Tree House has autodeposit, it is the responsibility of families to ensure payment is headed to the address.
Notice of withdrawal is due 30 days prior to your child’s last day of attendance (eg – notice of withdrawal Nov 1st if your child will not attend starting in December). If you child attends any classes in a month, full fees are due for that month. If 30 days notice is not provided for student withdrawal, full fees will be due for the following month.
